Michael A. Tessitore

Michael Tessitore focuses his practice on complex business litigation, creditors’ rights and business bankruptcy matters. He has served for thirty years as a trusted advisor to a wide range of business clients as well as court-appointed fiduciaries, including trustees, receivers and liquidators. Michael also has substantial experience representing clients involved in international commercial disputes where his proficiency in Spanish often serves as a key asset.

Working out of the firm’s Miami and Orlando offices, Michael’s abilities have been recognized by his peers in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2010. He was selected as Orlando Lawyer of the Year for Bet-The-Company Litigation for multiple years. He has also been recognized for multiple years in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, as a Florida Super Lawyer and as one of Orlando’s Best Lawyers by Orlando Magazine. He also holds the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent® rating, the highest possible rating for an attorney for both ethical standards and legal ability.

Michael is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator who has successfully mediated hundreds of commercial disputes to consensual resolutions. He serves as a Member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Mediators and Arbitrators and as a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.  Michael has served as an adjunct professor at Stetson University College of Law, teaching courses in international litigation and arbitration.

Michael’s expertise also is informed by years of active service to the Business Law, International Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections of The Florida Bar.
